Holy is the Lord To BE with God In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, "let there be light," and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." ...And God said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate the water from water." So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so. God called the expanse "sky." ...And God said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let the dry ground appear." And it was so. God called the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called "seas." And God saw that it was good...Then God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it...God saw all that he had made, and it was very good." Genesis 1:1-10,27,28+ 31 To read more about God's handiwork, read chapters 1-3 of Genesis. Then the Lord answered Job..."Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Tell me if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it?...Who shut up the sea behind doors when it burst forth from the womb, when I made the clouds its garment and wrapped it in thick darkness, when I fixed limits for it and set its doors and bars in place, when I said, 'This far you may come and no farther; here is where our proud waves halt'? Have you ever given orders to the morning, or shown the dawn its place, that it might take the earth by the edges and shake the wicked out of it?...Have the gates of death been shown to you?...Tell me, if you know all this. What is the way to the abode of light? And where does darkness reside? Can you take them to their places?...Can you bind the beautiful Pleiades? Can you loose the cords of Orion? Can you bring for the constellations in their seasons or lead the Bear with its cubs? Do you know the laws of heavens? Can you set up God's dominion over the earth?...Does the hawk take flight by your wisdom and spread his wings toward the south? Does the eagle soar at your command and build his nest on high?...Do you have an arm like God's and can your voice thunder like His? Then adorn yourself with glory and splendor, and clothe yourself in honor and majesty. Unleash the fury of your wrath, look at every proud man and bring him low...crush the wicked where they stand. Bury them all in the dust together; shroud their faces in the grave. Then I myself will admit to you that your own right hand can save you." Job 38:1,4-5,8-13,17-20,31-33;Job 39:26-27; Job 40:9-14When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? Psalm 8:3-4You have set your glory above the heavens. Psalm 8:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. Psalm 19:1-4 Your hands made me and formed me; give me understanding to learn your commands. Psalm 119:73 O Lord, you have searched me and you know me...For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb...Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.
