Prayer is a conversation with God. It is talking with your thoughts or your mouth and with an honest heart to the One who knows you and loves you without any condition. He already knows your thoughts and feelings, but He wants you to come to Him and share yourself. How should I pray so God will definitely hear me? Pray and getting definite and direct results. I need Prayer Assistance Jesus began to teach them saying: But when you pray, go into a room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you....This then is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one." (For Instruction Click) "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Matthew 6:2-12, 6,9-13 Psalm 147 is a wonderful prayer for asking God for His Mercy, and for His Spirit to strengthen and protect you, and to choose to be God's servant. Psalm 51 is a genuine prayer of a repentant sinner. Psalm 32 is a prayer of being forgiven by the Lord. Psalm 1 is to understand the love of the Word of God. Psalm 139 is an in depth way to understand how much God knows you and loves you! Psalm 42 and Psalm 119 are both for encouragement in your relationship with the Lord. Psalms 33 and 34 joyfully praise and worship the Lord God!! Please read them in your Bible or on: http://bible.gospelcom.net/bible. Instruction of the Lord's Prayer: "Our Father in Heaven": In this prayer, we claim God, the Creator of the Universe, as our Father. A perfect and loving one, much better than any human person could ever be. We can trust Him with our heart and our relationship in Him because He is ALL Good. When we say "Hallowed be your name", that means we know God's name is Holy, which means God alone is Holy! "Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven" : After recognizing whom we are talking to, we ask God our Father to bring His kingdom of Love and Truth and Light down here on earth. That means that we can experience His eternal life here too, not just after we die when we get to heaven. We also ask for His will to be done down here on earth just like it is in Heaven. That means a change of heart for us!! That means that our will of selfishness should be replaced and removed for the Lord God Almighty's perfect loving will to be put into action! And that is when we start to see the miracles in our own lives and in the lives of others. It is when we notice God's handiwork in the mountains of immovable objects! "Give us our daily bread": We go on to ask God our Father to give us all that we need. It does not necessarily mean that we will get what we want, or what we think we need, but that our Father can and should be trusted to give us what we need for each day, as the day arrives. "forgive us our debts" we also ask Our Holy Father. That means any wrong or sinful actions, thoughts, words and emotions that we have done we ask God to forgive us for. Those are things we could have been done in private or in public, to a person, to ourselves, to any thing or part of His creation, or to God Himself. Only this part of the prayer has a condition. "As we forgive our debtors.": That means that we must forgive anyone, any thing, or even ourselves of any wrong thing that has been done against us. As we forgive who or what has done us wrong, so shall we be forgiven for what we have done wrong. Just as our Father forgives us, so freely when we are truthful to decide not to continue to do our wrong things, so are we expected to forgive others. We are not to judge if they are truthful or sincere, for only God can see inside of hearts. We next ask the Lord to protect us from falling back into sin. And to keep us safe from the snares and traps of the Evil one. Some Christians add the following Praise to God afterwards "For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen!" This puts the emphasis that All is for God's glory, and nothing is for our own glory. Bring me To BE With God. The Sinner's prayer is one of submission and surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ. He alone is the ruler of the universe, for He alone made all things and all of the glory rightly belongs to Him. Saying rote prayers to the Lord Jesus are very nice, for the words do hold important content, but Prayer is meant to be more as a conversation to and with the Lord God Almighty. ("Pray without ceasing" 1Thessalonians 5:17) The Act of Contrition, and other wonderful prayers may not cover the full surrender of a heart that thought it was doing everything "right". ("These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men." Isaiah 29:13, Mark 7:6,7) The following is an example of a sinner's prayer that may be said while on your knees. It is meant to contain your honest heart's intention of surrender and submission to God's Will alone. Full submission to His desire for your life, not the path you choose when not taking every decision before Him at His heavenly throne. ("Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5 and "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We believe and know that you are the Holy One of God." John 6"68,69) Example: Dear Jesus, I know that you love me. I know that You died on the cross for my sins. The punishment that You took was what I deserve. But because You love me so much, You went on that cross instead of me. I thank You for taking my sins and dying on the cross for me. Jesus, I am a sinner. I have done so many wrong things. You know the long list of them already. You see my sins, and You have experienced my sins on the cross. I am so very sorry for doing all the things that I have done, for thinking those thoughts, and saying what I've said.... And also for all the things that I do not remember, I am truly sorry. Please forgive me. In your Word you say "As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us." (Psalm 103:12) I trust you, Lord Jesus, for forgiving my sins and removing them from me. I accept Your forgiveness for my sins. Thank You for forgiving me! Thank You for accepting me into Your Kingdom and as Your child! Help me to not do the things that I have done that did not please You. Guide me with Your Holy Spirit. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that I may learn from You. Please make me sensitive to Your Holy Spirit so I may honor You with my life and live to glorify You only. I give You my pride, my ego, my habits that I have relied on rather than You. I give You my entire self. I choose to love You and honor You and obey You and love You so that You get the glory for any good thing that I do from now on. I love You Jesus, Your child ______________. Jesus said, "In the same way there is more happiness in heaven because of one sinner who turns to God than over ninety-nine good people who don’t need to….In the same way God’s angel’s are happy when even one person turns to him." Luke 15:7,10 The Sinner's Prayer is based on: If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame." Romans 10:8-11 Psalm 51 is a genuine prayer of a repentant sinner. Bring me to the Word of God. All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth, To such as keep His covenant and His testimonies. Psalm 25:10 Bring me to What Next or Promises or Holy Spirit in the Believer Editor's Notes: The Lord your God will supply all you need according to His glorious riches through Christ Jesus. Do not worry about tomorrow, it will have enough troubles of its own. The man who was forgiven but didn't forgive his own servant. Looking for David, Samuel was told he sees the outside, not hearts. The devil goes around like a prowling lion looking for someone to devour. Pray for yourselves, said Jesus, for Peter, I have prayed for you...and again, later he repeats this. Not one will be snatched from my hand. Put on the armor of God. Bring me to the Bible words of Salvation, or to Definitions.
