Questions have been posed to us, and we answer them here.  Naturally, every Christian must submit and give an account of  his or her behavior and decisions to the Lord God Almighty, according to the Holy Spirit's prompting, and in accordance to the Word of God, the Bible.

So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.  Romans 14:12

We recommend reading 1 John 5:1-21 as an encouragement to knowing and doing the will of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I  thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; That in every thing you are enriched by Him, in utterance, and in all knowledge; Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you: So that you come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.  1Corinthians 4-8

Head CoveringShould a woman cover her head always?  In  1Corinthians 11:1-16 Paul addresses the proper attitudes for worship.  Paul states, "Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonors his head. But every woman that prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head."  It can also be noted in Leviticus 21:10 that "And he that is a high priest among bretheren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes."  Here we read that the opposite is proposed.  Additionally, Jewish men always cover their heads in synagogues while women in the Catholic church used to wear head coverings when in church and now do not; yet a few Mennonite Christian  women always wear a head covering.  Likewise, Paul writes, "if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him".   While in Judges 13 "the angel of the Lord appeared to the woman and said to her... For, lo,  you shall conceive and bear a son, and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines." And Samson was born.  Samuel was also a Nazarite, and some think John the Baptist was too.  Here we see another contradiction of grooming.       What are we to do?  The purpose of Paul's writing is to promote the proper attitude, not a permanent outward custom of grooming.  First and foremost is the attitude of alignment.  Jesus Christ is our Head, Shepherd, or Leader at all times!  We are always to be in submission to His Holy Will.  Paul expounds on worship in 1Timothy 2 "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men." And Paul writes in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 "Pray without ceasing." (Please read all of that chapter for further insight.)

Jesus Christ stated, "But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him.  God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." John 4:23-24   Here Jesus was referring to being Born of the Holy Spirit (John 3:1-21).  No one can see into the heart of a person, except the Lord. "But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord sees not as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance,  but the Lord looks on the heart." 1Samuel 16:7

It is important to note that if the Lord prompts you to wear a head covering, obey, if not to, do not wear one.  "we live unto the Lord; ...and we die unto the lord... we are the Lord's"  Romans 14:8  Also, the body of Christ is not to criticize each other.  In Romans 14:1-23 Paul states "Let us therefore not judge one another...but edify one another."

Proverbs 31:10-31 and Titus 2:3-5  are great studies on how women should be!

Musical Instruments    Is it right that a Christian in this time of grace can use musical instruments and also clap in worship?   By all means!!  As long as the heart and mind are dedicated to loving and serving and glorifying the Lord Jesus Christ, do as David did!!  Cymbals, timbrels, cornets, music, psalteries, harps, brass trumpets, and dulcimer are found in 1Samuel 18:6; 2Samuel6:5, 1 Chronicles 13:8; 15:16,19, 28; 16:5,42; 25:1,6; 2 Chronicles 5:12,13; 7:6; 16:42; 23:13; 29:25; 34:12;  Nehemiah 12:27,36; Psalm 150:5; Revelation 18:22

Clapping!!  Is used as an expression of joy and elation for what the Almighty has done for His people!!   O clap your hands, all you peoples; shout unto God with the voice of triumph. Psalm 47:1 ~~~  Let the floods clap their hands: let hills be joyful together.  Psalm 98:8  ~~~   Isaiah 55:12 "... and all the trees of the fields shall clap their hands."

Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.  Philippians 4:4
