Trinity

The LORD GOD Almighty a Single God    AND

a Tripersonal God in Biblical Trinitarianism Theologicial Theory.

            In all versions of the the Holy Bible, God says He is One God and three distinct persons Who are God in that one Godhead. The Holy Bible testifies that God has three distinct roles to play, or three parts, or three personalities within the singular ONE God. The reason we know this is because God says this in His Holy Bible, His Word, that He has three parts or personalities.

The concept can be simply called the Trinity, or three persons in the ONE Godhead. The concept is this: One God with three roles to fulfill which are fulfilled by the distinct three “persons” within the One God. The Godhead eternally exists in three persons - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are one God, having the same nature, attributes and perfection.

            Please read this page carefully, slowly, and prayerfully with your imagination open to what God has to show and teach you. Many Bible verses will be cited. Illustrations will be given as a way to help you understand what the Bible teaches. Please contact us with any more questions or comments you may have. Here goes -

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
          This is what God says, “The LORD our God, the LORD is one.” Deut. 6:4
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. Deuteronomy 6:4-5
            God also says, that God is spirit.
Jesus declared, “God is spirit, and His worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." John 4:21,24
With these two concepts in mind, we must try to understand that God is bigger and better than we can grasp with our limited- dimension mind. In other words, we, who are people, have spirit and flesh, but God is only spirit. And since God is spirit, He can exist in entirety in a way different than we can fully grasp.
            Here are some examples of this. These illustrations are not perfect, but together they may lend some idea on how we can view the concept of One God with three distinct parts, or persons.
1- An egg – an egg is one egg. But it is made of three parts. The shell, the yolk (the middle yellow part) and the albumin (the soft white part inside the shell). While there is only one egg, there are three distinct parts of it. While there is only one God, there are three distinct parts of Him, but God is One God.
2- A prism – a prism is a piece of glass in the shape of a triangle. When sunlight shines through the prism, the prism breaks the white light down into various parts, or different colors. While sunlight is one white light, there are parts within that one light which are red, yellow and blue. Light is one light, but within it are three parts.
3- Identity – a person is one person. Each person is only one person. A woman can be a wife, a mother, and a daughter. She has three different and distinct roles to fill. She is a wife to her husband, a mother to her children, and a daughter to her parents. While she is one woman, only one person, she has three parts of her that are necessary and effective. One woman has three vital roles to fulfill.
God is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit – yet the Lord God Almighty is ONE.
Here is where we can read that the Trinity exists from Jesus’ Words and from the Book of Genesis:
Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matt 28:18-20
In the Bible, God uses His Name in a plural form several times as shown in Genesis 1:26
Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let then rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over al the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."  Genesis 1:26   And in Genesis 11:5-7
Genesis 1 and John 1 tell of the different jobs and the intimacy between the three persons in the One God.
In the beginning God created (God the Father) the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God (God the Holy Spirit)was hovering over the waters. And God said, (God the Son= the Word of God), "Let there be light," and there was light. Genesis 1:1-3
God the Son, Jesus Christ, is described in John 1:1-3,14:  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, Who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:1-3, 14
God is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit – yet the Lord God Almighty is ONE.
The Bible teaches us about the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Below are three distinct roles or jobs they have, but there are many more distinct works they each do. There are links beneath each description to embellish on this information. Far beneath are listed Bible verses about the relationship between the three persons who together are the One Lord God Almighty.
The role of God the Father is the Creator.
Is this the way you repay the LORD, O foolish and unwise people? Is he not your Father, your Creator, Who made you and formed you? Deuteronomy 32:6
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom. Isaiah 40:28
“I am the LORD, your Holy One, Israel's Creator, your King." Isaiah 43:15  And  Job 38-41
Yet, O Lord, You are our Father. We are the clay, You are the potter; we are all the work of Your hand.  Isaiah 64:8
You, O Lord, are our Father; our Redeemer from of old is Your Name. Isaiah 63:16
The role of God the Holy Spirit is the Teacher or Counselor.
The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD - Isaiah 11:2
But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My Name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.  John 14:26
"When the Counselor comes, Whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth Who goes out from the Father, He will testify about Me. John 15:26
God is ONE. The Lord God is ONE. There is no other God beside Him.
This is what the LORD says: 'Surely God is with you, and there is no other; there is no other god.' " Isaiah 45:14
Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel, And his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: ‘ I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God.’ Isaiah 44:6
Tell and bring forth your case; Yes, let them take counsel together. Who has declared this from ancient time? Who has told it from that time? Have not I, the LORD? And there is no other God besides Me, A just God and a Savior; There is none besides Me. Isaiah 45:21
Therefore concerning the eating of things offered to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one. 1 Corinthians 8:4
Additionally -
Jesus says He is the only way to the Father because Jesus is one with the Father. “Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.” John 14:9
6Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."
8Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us."
9Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? 10Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. 11Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. John 14
Here Jesus says that He is one with the Father. John 10:30
25Jesus answered, "I did tell you, but you do not believe. The miracles I do in my Father's name speak for me, 26but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. 27My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. 29My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. 30I and the Father are one." John 10
Primarily that means man was created for inter-personal relationships. The Trinity was always a Trinity, is always a Trinity, will always be a Trinity. God by nature exists in fellowship and relationship within the Trinity. Let's make man, God said, with a capacity for relationship because as 1 Corinthians 11:7 says, "Man is the image and glory of God." This is not true of anything else in the creation. No other creature that God made did He make in His image. In the entire time/space universe this is true only of humanity."
