My Religion is Good 3

How do I know if I will get into heaven?

How can I remain in God's Love?

Traditions and Rituals of Men?

How do I know if I will get into heaven?

"Anyone who loves his father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me; and anyone who does not take his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.

"Whoever acknowledges Me before men, I will also acknowledge him before My Father in heaven. But whoever disowns Me before men, I will disown him before My Father in heaven. "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn " 'a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother -in- law -- a man's enemies will be the members of his own household.' "He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives the One who sent Me." Matt 10:32-42

As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector's booth. "Follow me," He told him, and Matthew got up and followed Him. Mt 9:9 anyone who does not take his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me. Mt 10:38 Then He called the crowd to Him along with His disciples and said: "If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me. Mt 8:34,16:24

"Come, follow Me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." Mk 1:17

Jesus looked at him and loved him. "One thing you lack," he said. "Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me." Mk 10:21; Lk 18:22  Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me." Matt 19:21

Then he said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me.  And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow Me cannot be my disciple. Lk 9:23; 14:27

My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me. Jn 10:27

"I am the true vine, and My Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in Me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit He prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of The Word I have spoken to you. Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me.

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in Me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.

If you remain in Me and My Words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

"As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Now remain in My Love. If you obey My commands, you will remain in My Love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in His Love. I have told you this so that My joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. John 15:1-17

Whoever serves Me must follow Me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves Me. Jn 12:26

How can I remain in God's Love? - by obeying God's commands. How can I obey them if I do not know them? -- You cannot, so read God's Word. - Do NOT base your life on other books!! Men's Thoughts, Traditions of men, Ritual of religion, and practices of men are all outside of God's Word for you. God's Word is Alive and active and will accomplish all that God has planned. The Bible is God's Word.

"As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Now remain in My Love. If you obey My commands, you will remain in My Love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in His Love. I have told you this so that My joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. John 15:1-17

Jesus says, "If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing." - So do not live apart from God, do not live away from God. Instead, have His Words abide in you, for the renewing of your mind and spirit!!  John 15:1-17

If you remain in Me and My Words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. Jn 15:1-17

If anyone is ashamed of me and My Words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father's glory with the holy angels." Mk 8:38; Lk 9:26

Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Words will never pass away. Mt 24:35; Mk 13:3; Lk 21:33

But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete." Lk 6:49

"I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. I tell you the truth, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death." Jn 5:24; 8:51

"As for the person who hears My words but does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it. There is a Judge for the one who rejects Me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day. Jn 12:47,48

"The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. "But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. 'Friend,' he asked, 'how did you get in here without wedding clothes?' The man was speechless. "Then the king told the attendants, 'Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.' "For many are invited, but few are chosen." Matt 22:2,11-14         (This parable is not about outfits or styles, but about the cleanness of trusting the Lord Jesus Christ for your salvation, for your entry into the kingdom of heaven. When you ask Jesus to pay the price for your sins, by His Atonement, then you are spiritually washed clean, and are spiritually wearing the clean white wedding garment of Christ. The man who was at the wedding feast did not have his sins washed away by Christ's blood on the cross, and so he was not allowed into the wedding banquet, or Kingdom of God. The King, or Lord God Almighty, had the imposter thrown out into hell where he would suffer forever, time without end.)

One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked Him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?"        "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."

"Well said, teacher," the man replied. "You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices."

When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions. Mark 12:28-34; Deut 6:4,5; Lev 19:18

Do not be bound to the traditions and rituals of men, which enslave and keep you from moving with the Spirit of God.

Then some Pharisees and teachers of the law came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked, "Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don't wash their hands before they eat!"

Jesus replied, "And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition? For God said, 'Honor your father and mother' and 'Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.' But you say that if a man says to his father or mother, 'Whatever help you might otherwise have received from me is a gift devoted to God,' he is not to 'honor his father' with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition.

You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:
"'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.  They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.'"

Then the disciples came to Him and asked, "Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?" He replied, "Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots. Leave them; they are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit." Matt 15:1-20; Isaiah 29:13

Jesus replied, "You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men." And He said to them: "You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions! …
Thus you nullify the Word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that." Mark 7:8-13

If you find that your religion puts other things in front of reading God's Word and being filled with His Holy Spirit, then you are not following God's most important command.  How can you live for God if you are serving men? Jesus says, "You cannot serve two masters." Matthew 6:24
