My Religion is Good 6

"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Prov 9:10

"But what about you?" Jesus asked. "Who do you say I am?" Matt 16:15-20

How can I know God?  How can I be intimate with the King of the Universe?  -- God's Word says we must have a reverence, or a special type of fear of Him as being Holy in order to know Him.  What is a friendship with God like?

Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom and the beginning of a relationship with the Lord. -- The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the LORD are sure and altogether righteous. Ps 19:9

And He said to man, 'The fear of the Lord - that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding.' " Job 28:28

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise. Ps 111:10

The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, turning a man from the snares of death. Prov 14:27

through the fear of the LORD a man avoids evil. Prov 16:6

Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the LORD.  Prov 23:17

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. Prov 1:7

I surrender to You Jesus Christ, I want to live Your Way.

"But what about you?" Jesus asked. "Who do you say I am?"

Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by My Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter (
Peter In Greek, the original language, this means little pebble, a chip off the big Rock), and on this rock (In the original language, Rock means the Massive Foundation Rock.)  See I will build My church (The Body of Christ is built on the truth that Jesus is the Messiah, the Atonement.  Without God's Provision for sin, Atonement, there is no church of Christ.), and the gates of Hades (Hell) will not overcome it. I will give you (and all of those who believe that I am the Messiah, the Christ) the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you (the Body of Christ) bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you (the Body of Christ) loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." Matt 16:15-20

So you can trust Jesus Christ or the leaders of religion.  Jesus continually warns you and me that men who trust anything more than God's Word will be blind guides.  Only Jesus Christ, the Light of the World can have you "see" His Way and have you walk with Him.    Your Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.  Psalm 119:105

I surrender to You Jesus Christ, I want to live Your Way.

"Be careful," Jesus said to them. "Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees." … But be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees." Then they understood that he was not telling them to guard against the yeast used in bread, but against the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees. Matt 16:5-12

Meanwhile, when a crowd of many thousands had gathered, so that they were trampling on one another, Jesus began to speak first to his disciples, saying: "Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs.

"I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you Whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear Him (The Lord God Almighty, Judge of the earth). Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

"I tell you, whoever acknowledges Me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God. But he who disowns Me before men will be disowned before the angels of God. … "When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say." Luke 12:1-12
