Is Your Religion True of False? The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. Ps 19:7
Is your church breaking God's Commands? God's Commands are Firm. Your word, O LORD, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. All Your words are true; all Your righteous laws are eternal. Ps 119:89,160 Does Your Religion trust God's Word on these? A mediator is someone who stands in the middle of two people and makes peace between them. Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man. An intercessor is someone who speaks for us when we cannot or are not speaking for ourselves. The Holy Spirit is the major intercessor for a child of God. A priest is someone who atones for our sins. Jesus Christ is the atonement and the only priest Who stands forever. The Lord says, I will put My laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be My people. A child of God can hear God directly. A saint is anyone who is born again and saved by the blood of Jesus Christ's atoning death on the cross. The Bible is God's Word. If God's Word is the Authority, then no other book can stand along side it. God says of His Word - how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2Timothy 3:15-17 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. 1Cor 2:13 The Man or Woman of God knows that this pertains to them - For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring Word of God. 1 Pet 1:23 Jesus is the Word of God In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. … The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world. He was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him. … Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His Name, He gave the right to become children of God-- children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, Who is at the Father's side, has made Him known. John 1:1-18 Jesus says, "The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life." Jn 6:63 Simon Peter answered Him (Jesus the Christ), "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Jn 6:68 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one." John 10:27-30 Jesus Is the Authority When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law. Matt 7:28-29 But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins...." Matt 9:6 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Matt 28:18 The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life--only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father." John 10:17-18 "Father, the time has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son may glorify You. For You granted Him authority over all people that He might give eternal life to all those You have given Him. Now this is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent. John 17:2-3 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: "Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ. Rev 12:10 And He was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. Rev 13:7 Jesus told them, "I tell you the truth, whoever hears My Word and believes Him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. Jn 5:24 I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life. Jn 6:47 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Jn 14:6 Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." Jn 8:31,32 God's Word is the Authority. No other book can stand beside it. If you think, "I trust in my church, my parents, other people more than what the Bible has to say. I know the Bible is God's Word, but I am afraid of what people will think of me." Then God says, Do not put your trust in
princes, in mortal men, who cannot save. O LORD Almighty, blessed is the man
who trusts in you. Ps 84:12 It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to
trust in man. Ps 118:8 Stop trusting in man, who has but a breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he? Isaiah 2:22 This is what the LORD says:
"Cursed is the one who
trusts in man, who depends on
flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the
LORD. Bring me to Prayer or Repent or Sinful life or Righteous Life or Everlasting love. Or to Your Religion 2, Your Religion 3, Your Religion 4, Your Religion 5 or Sinful Life or Prayer. |
