There is only One God - The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Deut 6:4 The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Deut 6:4-7 Jesus, the Living Word of God, says - One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?" "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these." "Well said, teacher," the man replied. "You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices." When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions. Mark 12:28-34 For there is one God. 1 Tim 2:5 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that–and shudder. James 2:19 What about the Trinity, or the understanding that there are three distinct persons even though there is only one God? Please explain. What about Jesus Christ being fully God and fully man? Please explain. God's Word has "gods" in lower case because there is no other God besides the Lord God Almighty. "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand {generations} of those who love me and keep my commandments. Exod 20:3-5 "You shall have no other gods before me. "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. Deut 5:7-11 Do you Hate God or Love God? To Hate God is to not Love God. What is Love to God? Does your church teach you to pray to people, asking people who have died to help you? Please explain. What is Love to God? This is love for God: to obey his commands.
And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the
world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is
it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
This is the one who came by water and blood--Jesus Christ. He did not come by
water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because
the Spirit is the truth. For there are three that testify: the Spirit, the water
and the blood; and the three are in agreement. We accept man's testimony, but
God's testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has
given about his Son. Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in
his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made him out to be a liar,
because he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. And this
is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He
who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have
life. 1Jn 5:3-12 Those who obey his commands live in him, and He in them. And this is how we know that He lives in us: We know it by the Spirit He gave us. 1Jn 3:24 Bring me to what it means to have a Friendship with God. God is Spirit God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." John 4:24 If God is Spirit, how can a man say that he is god? Only Jesus Christ is fully God and full man. No other person can claim that. If God is Spirit, God can have children of God, but not by ordinary means, but by His Spirit. "Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His Name, He gave the right to become children of God-- children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God."
